The New Orleans Saints have placed offensive tackle Charles Brown on season-ending injured reserve and signed veteran Ray Willisto take his spot on the active roster. Brown, who started five games at right tackle in place of injured veteran Zach Strief, hurt his right hip during Sunday’s loss at St. Louis.

You won’t find quarterback Drew Brees getting hit for a loss by defensive linemen all that often. Twenty-three times in 2006. Sixteen times in 2007. And a franchise-low 13 times in 2008. But that low three seasons has turned into what will likely be a high in 2011.
