Saints are massively favored to draft offensive lineman in first round of 2024 NFL Draft

The Saints missed the postseason in 2023, but with some proper additions via the NFL Draft, New Orleans may jump to the top of the NFC South yet again.
With the NFL Draft fast approaching, next Thursday night is the first round, the Saints will look to bolster its talent roster pool at pick No. 14. Currently, mock drafts are circling offensive line as the primary position of choice for New Orleans, namely Olumuyiwa “Olu” Fashanu.
Currently, the odds are shaded towards offensive line being the position of choice for the Saints, with FanDuel Sportsbook listing the position as the massive favorite in terms fo position of the first drafted player by New Orleans.
Fashanu is a natural fit for the Saints, with the likes of Taliese Fuaga also in the mix. With the draft board likely shading towards quarterbacks and pass catchers early, the Saints can slide in nicely with an offensive lineman soon after. With that in mind, the Saints are -270 to use its first pick on an offensive lineman.
However, there are other options for the Saints, who could choose to take best player available. While its long odds, defensive lineman (or edge) is +500 and wide receiver is +900.
As Katherine Terrell notes in her ESPN.com draft preview for the Saints, the team is desperate to replenish its talent at offensive line. However, there are other needs on the roster, including the team needing to fill the wide receiver out around Chris Olave after letting Michael Thomas go in free agency.
It’s worth noting that Daniel Jeremiah of NFL.com said that the Saints could be amongst the most aggressive teams in next week’s draft.

He noted the Commanders and Saints to potentially be aggressive as well.
