Despite it being Monday there certainly is not a lot going on in the world of the New Orleans Saints. Part of that is because the world is still so transfixed on the investigation surrounding New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez.
But we digress. There is still some great analysis floating around out there while the big dogs in the industry ignore everything not Hernandez or Tim Tebow related.
Let’s take a look.
Per Uptown Murf:
Keenan Lewis enjoyed a breakout season with the Pittsburgh Steelers this past season. The Steelers defense finished #1 overall in the NFL rankings, and Lewis’ play at corner definitely assisted in that. Projecting this forward, for there to be some semblance to the Steelers, Lewis will be counted on heavily. He’s coming into the lions den of receiver play in the NFC South. But I surmise, with his athletic ability (4.47sec 40-yard dash), size (6’0, 208 lbs.) and overall corner acumen, the Saints may have found an answer to their No. 1 corner blues.
Bleacher Report Says Drew Brees is Still an Elite QB (no kidding?)
Per Alen Dumonjic:
This season, he’ll have his coach back. If he has an improved running game and defense as well, the Saints will win more games than the seven they won last season, and critics will be quick to announce that Brees is once again an elite quarterback.
But he was one all along.
