I spent most of my life teaching writing and rhetoric at Syracuse University. I retired from teaching in order to work as a full time writer of creative nonfiction. Our family was one of those forever connected to 9/11/2001, so I write about being a mom to a young woman who was lost on that day. And I write about the dogs who rescued the family. And, of course, the remaining joys of every day life, more precisely--the New Orleans Saints and the game of football.
