One of the big mysteries of the offseason for the New Orleans Saints is what will happen with Cam Jordan. The veteran defensive end is one of several veteran players nearing the end of their career that New Orleans could decide to move on from. With the team starting a new era this offseason with a new coach, it’s unclear which players will enter this new era with the team.
Jordan’s future, however, has been the one most publicly discussed. In the final two weeks of the season, he made it very clear that he was embracing the moments as if they were his final ones with the team. He even explicitly said he doesn’t know what’s next but he’s prepared to play next season, hopefully, with the Saints, but anywhere if necessary.
On Wednesday, during an interview with Kay Adams on radio row for the Super Bowl, Jordan was asked about the possibility of him actually moving to another team. He used the moment to do something he’s done countless times throughout his 14 years in New Orleans: pledge his allegiance to the Saints and hype the team up.
.@Saints fans can rest assure that CAM JORDAN isn't going anywhere 🙌

Cam Jordan wants to stay with the Saints, and believes the team can turn things around
This shouldn’t come as a surprise, as Jordan has proved to be one of the most faithful people in the league. During his end-of-season press conference, he said that he’d only play for another team next season if the Saints don’t want him back. He’s never going to ask out, as he still believes New Orleans can contend for a title.
Like many people within the Saints’ organization, Jordan blames the team’s 5-12 season on their lack of health. He believes they have the guys necessary to compete, they just need to stay on the field together. It’ll be interesting to see if the franchise and the new coaching staff agrees, and brings everyone back next season.
