Mark Ingram

Mark Ingram is no stranger to New Orleans Saints football, and in all honesty, he probably has a job in the backfield as long as he wants one. The only reason I’m putting Ingram on this list is that I wouldn’t be surprised if he calls it a career.

Ingram is a 32-year-old veteran running back in the Saints’ backfield and he has been in the NFL for 11 years. He is still an effective running back and a great locker room presence to have on the roster, but he could very well call it quits following the 2022 season.

The Saints are playing with fire with all the veterans they are keeping on the roster, and they could start to see several of them start to make decisions regarding their football futures.

The former first-round pick is set to hit the free-agent market following the upcoming season anyway, and if I had to bet on it, Ingram won’t make his family relocate again and rather decide to hang up the cleats and venture into his post-career life.
