Who Dat Dish: New Orleans Saints News, Rumors and Links for 4/21

It’s another quiet Sunday in the world of the New Orleans Saints, but that does not mean we can simply take the day off! There’s always more info about the Saints and NFL draft to be had if you look close enough.

Today we have more speculation about who the Saints might select in the first round, an update on who the team has visited and an update on how the offseason workout program is going.

Let’s take a look.

Although much of the pre-draft speculation has the Saints taking a pass-rusher in the first round, Mike Triplett writes not to rule out cornerbacks Xavier Rhodes and Desmond Trufant. Sean Payton Updates How Offseason Workouts Are Progressing:

Per Payton himself, via Saints’ official website:

On the start to the offseason strength and conditioning program: “Right now we are strictly in a weightlifting and conditioning phase. It’s good to have our players back. Monday was our first chance to have a team meeting and my first chance to see a lot of these guys that I hadn’t met during this past year. In the meantime, the coaches are working on the playbooks and the installation schedules and really getting ready for OTAs (Organized Team Activities) and draft preparations.
