While team doctors were pleased the results of surgery Monday to repair a torn meniscus and broken tibia in Payton’s left leg, there remained a number of questions pertaining to how the Saints will adapt to their head coach’s long recovery.

The New Orleans Saints’ offensive line continued its season-long excellence Sunday by not allowing a sack for the first time this season, but if Drew Brees keeps throwing interceptions, his turnovers are going to have a far greater impact than all the passing yards he’s racking up.
