On Sunday, the New Orleans Saints will conclude what has been a disastrous season. Taking their 5-11 record into a Week 18 matchup against the 9-7 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, all the Saints have to play for is pride. The Bucs, on the other hand, are playing for a fourth straight NFC South championship. That would, of course, also send them to the postseason.
Despite the difference in stakes for these two teams, this game isn’t a forgone conclusion. Every year, some lowly team always finds a way to play spoiler. New Orleans will try to assume that role on Sunday.
