Two Saints players that deserve to go to the 2025 Pro Bowl Games
The NFL has completed 12 weeks of the 2024 season, so that means Pro Bowl voting is now open. Fans can cast their votes for their favorite players, and those votes will be a part of the equation to determine which players are selected for the 2025 Pro Bowl Games.
The New Orleans Saints are 4-7 after 12 weeks, and even if interim head coach Darren Rizzi can keep the team moving in the right direction, they’ll finish with an average record. While the year hasn’t been all that great for the franchise as a whole, the Saints have a couple of players that deserve to go to the Pro Bowl.
Alvin Kamara is having a Pro Bowl season
Alvin Kamara is the obvious answer. The veteran running back has already made five Pro Bowls in his eight-year career, and he’s currently on track to have his most productive season yet. Through 11 games, Kamara has 782 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns, while adding 55 receptions for 443 yards and one additional touchdown.
The franchise’s all-time leading rusher made the Pro Bowl in each of his first five seasons, but missed out the last two years. It seems like a certainty he returns this season.
Taliese Fuaga deserves to go to the Pro Bowl as a rookie
There’s a chance Kamara could be New Orleans’ lone Pro Bowler, but if one of his teammates join him, it should be the rookie that paves the way for him: Taliese Fuaga. The rookie offensive lineman has been starting at left tackle since he arrived in New Orleans but he has been playing like a veteran.
Fuaga is a dominant run blocker, and has been really great in pass protection as well. Recently, he had a statement game against reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett, silencing Garrett in the Saints’ Week 11 win over the Cleveland Browns. Consistent performances like that from the rookie should send him to his first Pro Bowl.
