Spencer Rattler's first TD pass of his career came in the most epic way
It wasn't looking good for the New Orleans Saints early in their Week 6 match-up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs roared to a 17-0 lead in the first quarter and it looked as though the Saints were about to get rolled at home.
Rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler is making his first NFL start this week and that didn't help the dire situation the Saints were in. New Orleans is banged up and riding a three-game losing streak so it started to look as though the team was fully committing to the implosion.
Well, the good guys crawled their way back in the game and managed to take the lead after the defense picked off Baker Mayfield and set New Orleans up in a goal-to-go situation.

The Saints spent a fifth-round pick on Rattler, who was once considered to be a potential number one overall pick during his time at Oklahoma. Rattler was eventually benched in favor of Caleb Williams and Rattler went on to transfer to South Carolina where he quietly put together a nice résumé.
The fact that the Saints managed to land Rattler in the fifth round is pretty impressive considering the guy is clearly talented. He's showing out big for the Saints in his NFL start and it'd be awesome if the rest of the team could help him get his first NFL victory.
It'd be even cooler if this ends up being the first of many impressive starts for the Saints quarterback.
