The New Orleans Saints, along with the rest of the league, are deep in the pre-draft process, using every day to learn more about prospects. On Monday, the team attended Miami’s pro day, and got a good look at all of their prospects— including quarterback Cam Ward. The team also went to dinner with Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers on Monday, and attended Texas’ pro day on Tuesday.
Leading up to the draft, starting on April 24, the Saints will attend more pro days and continue to host players for visits. So far, New Orleans has already hosted three players for 30 visits, and the list of players seemingly point to what the Saints want to do on day two of the draft.
New Orleans has one first-round pick (No. 9), and three day two picks: No. 40 (R2), No. 71 (R3), and No. 93 (R3). The three players the Saints hosted— Shavon Revel Jr., Josh Conerly Jr., and Aireontae Ersery —are all projected to be day two picks. New Orleans is working to determine which prospect they should target in the second round.
Saints have had three 30 visits reported so far. All of them are prospects expected to go in the 25-50 range. They pick at 40.

Saints have focused on day-two targets with their 30 visits
Interestingly enough, two of the three guys are offensive linemen, with both playing left tackle at the collegiate level. Of course, the Saints selected Taliese Fuaga in the first round of last year’s draft, and he has already established himself as the team’s left tackle, but in the NFL, there’s no such thing as too many linemen.
New Orleans has worked to fill the holes on the offensive line this offseason, and even added depth, but the team could definitely improve by adding guys like Ersery or Conley.
Shavon Revel Jr. would also be a great prospect to land in round two. The cornerback was once expected to be a first-round selection, but a knee injury that forced him to miss his final year has pushed him to the second round. That could ultimately result in the Saints getting a first-round talent in round two, and if Revel is healthy and ready to go, he could end up starting as a rookie. New Orleans needs to rebuild the cornerback room, and Revel could be the perfect piece in the draft to do so.
The team will continue to host guys for visits, and if things go according to plan during draft weekend, the Saints will land at least one of the guys, and possibly more.
