The best news is Taysom Hill returning to practice after the chest injury he suffered in Sunday’s game. While he was limited, it was upgrade from his did-not-practice status on Wednesday. A limited practice on Thursday gives him a pretty good chance to be available for Sunday’s game.
Hill wasn’t the only player back on the field. Linebacker D’Marco Jackson was back on the field for the first time since training camp. His return will certainly benefit New Orleans’ depth and special teams.
There were also reports that veteran defensive tackle Khalen Saunders was back on the field during the media availability portion of practice. However, his official, designation was did not practice, so he must be going through a plan to work his way back. Saunders has been sidelined since the end of training camp with a calf injury the team knew would sideline him for a few weeks.
Ultimately, this is a pretty encouraging injury report for the Saints. While it is lengthy, the majority of guys are practicing, and it’s shows the team is healing up as the season develops.
