Sunday, October 9, 2022 was Taysom Hill Day! The offensive weapon scored four touchdowns for the New Orleans Saints and helped them win 39-32 over the Seattle Seahawks and in doing so, essentially saved what could have otherwise become a lost Saints season.

Sean Payton watched the game and had some thoughts on his former favorite player. He mentioned on The Herd the next day that he texted Mickey Loomis and said "if you're uncomfortable with that 10 million salary in a year or two, let me know and I'll take it off your hands" .

It's no secret that Payton LOVES him some Taysom Hill. Hell, the only reason the offensive weapon is probably even still on the Saints' roster is that Payton worked hard to get him an extension before he left the team.

Could Sean Payton and Taysom Hill be a packaged deal?

Payton left the Saints over the offseason but no one thinks he'll stay away from coaching for long. Teams like the Cowboys, Chargers, and maybe even the Broncos could be options for the long-time Saints coach if he does opt to return and he's clearly making it known that when he does return, he'd like Hill by his side.

Now the question is -- Would the Saints give Payton his greatest weapon if they're going to have to go up against him in the future? I'm not sure I'd oblige there if I was in Loomis' shoes.

What do you think, Saints fans? Should Loomis give Payton his wish when he inevitably returns to coaching?
