Saints would love it if this surprise prediction for the 2024 season comes true
With the 2024 season kicking off soon, everyone is making their predictions about how things will unfold. From breakout players to Super Bowl winners, there’s a prediction list for everything. ESPN’s Dan Graziano recently added to the list with a prediction of potential surprises this season.
Graziano went team by team, predicting a surprising element for each franchise. For the New Orleans Saints, Graziano warned fans not to be surprised if Alvin Kamara has a bounce-back season in 2024.
ESPN predicts Alvin Kamara will have a bounce-back season in 2024
This definitely won’t come as as a surprise to Saints fans, but in Graziano’s defense he did say these surprises are more for causal, or league-wide fans, as opposed to die-hard fans of a specific team. Either way, New Orleans fans would love for this to happen, and it has become an expectation throughout the offense.
Graziano detailed why, explaining how the presence of Klint Kubiak could lead to a resurgence of the veteran running back.
"New offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak has sparked some chatter about using Kamara the way the 49ers use Christian McCaffrey (which is to say, all the time and doing everything). Plus, the Saints' offensive line looks like it could be a total catastrophe in front of quarterback Derek Carr, potentially making Kamara even more valuable as a runner and receiver out of the backfield."

Since arriving in New Orleans, Kubiak has been open about his desire to run the football and load up Kamara’s plate. The world got a glimpse of that vision in the second preseason game. Although Kamara didn’t play, the offense established a downhill identity with Jamaal Williams and Taysom Hill taking the carries.
It was easy to envision how things would look with Kamara taking the handoffs: productive. If Kamara gets going on the ground, that will also help open up the passing attack, and the offense will be better as a unit. Saints fans are hoping that’s the case.
