Saints news revolves around Cameron Jordan defending himself after getting fined for faking an injury and also about potential landing spots for Sean Payton.

Jordan was fined $50,000 for supposedly faking an injury in the Saints' 17-16 loss to the Buccaneers. He wasn't happy about the accusations, stating:

""I feel like my name's low-key been slandered. Like I haven't played with more or less," said Jordan, who did not miss a game due to injury in his career before this season. "And even then, I went out, went to the tent, got taped up ... went back to the playing field and finished the game.""

This season has not gone well for the Saints in general and they really could have used Sean Payton as their head coach instead of Dennis Allen, who has been clueless as his successor. There's a lot of buzz about where Payton might end up if he does indeed return to coaching in 2023.

NFL Rumors: Sean Payton, Frank Reich, Leslie Frazier, More Linked to Panthers HC Job [Adam Wells, Bleacher Report]

Wells talks about the Panthers' head coach opening and how Payton could be a fit there. This seems highly unlikely, however, as the Saints are in the same division as Carolina. If the Panthers want to give up a king's ransom of draft picks and players to acquire Payton, maybe NOLA would consider it, but it's going to take a lot for them to ship off their former prized head coach to a division rival.

"Even if the Panthers wanted to bring in Payton, the odds of New Orleans letting him go to a division rival would seem low barring some obscene trade offer."

Studs and duds from Saints' first 13 games of 2022 season [John Sigler, Saints Wire]

Nobody probably expected to see Jarvis Landry, Paulson Adebo, and Alvin Kamara listed as 'duds' or Cesar Ruiz listed as a 'stud' before the season began but it's been that kind of year. This is a great read from Sigler detailing the good players and the bad players through 13 games.

Dennis Allen's comments about Alvin Kamara prove that he's in over his head [Leigh Oleszczak, Who Dat Dish]

Last, but not least is an article from yours truly about how Allen is clearly not the right man for the job in New Orleans. He made a boneheaded comment about trying to get the best out of Kamara and unfortunately for him, it's Week 15. That should have been done months ago.
