The New Orleans Saints have started the season on fire, scoring more than 40 points in each of the first two games. They officially have everyone’s attention, and New Orleans is hoping to keep that attention on Sunday when they host the Philadelphia Eagles.

Philly is 1-1, coming off a loss, and they haven’t played their best football yet. New Orleans, on the other hand, hasn’t stumbled once this season.

Unfortunately, the Saints will be without one of their best players on Sunday. New Orleans announced that do-it-all athlete Taysom Hill, and five other players, will be inactive for Sunday’s game.

Hill is definitely the biggest inactive of the week, and his absence is something New Orleans will have to work around offensively. He’s a unique, versatile player, so he’s not easy to replace. The Saints will rely on a couple of players to fill in for Hill at his various positions.

Juwan Johnson will have to step up at tight end, and Adam Prentice has to keep delivering at fullback. Like everyone in New Orleans, both players have started the year playing well, but they’ll need to be even better without Taysom Hill in the rotation.

The other big inactives are wide receivers A.T. Perry and Bub Means. Neither has contributed this year, but their abscences leave New Orleans very thin at wide receiver. Nearly all of the wide receiver production has come from Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed, and that’ll seemingly continue in Week 3.

The last note is Spencer Rattler is still QB3, and the emergency third quarterback. With Derek Carr now playing well, there isn’t much thought about the backup QB battle anymore, but with Rattler being inactive for the first three weeks, Haener seemingly has a comfortable hold on QB2.
