The New Orleans Saints appear to have a star on their hands with rookie Chris Olave, who has helped make the passing offense look much more lethal.

Olave, in just seven games, has racked up 547 yards through the air while finding the end zone twice. He's averaged 14.8 yards per catch and is proving to be everything the Saints hoped he would when they moved up to take him in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

It feels like Olave had an excellent chance to be crowned this year's Offensive Rookie of the Year but he has the third-best odds after eight weeks of action.

Who is Chris Olave trailing in OROTY race?

The Ohio State product currently has +500 odds to win the coveted title, per FanDuel, which is fantastic value. He's constantly making plays for this Saints offense and with Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry sidelined, there will continue to be plenty of opportunities for him to show why he was a first-round pick.

The two players ahead of Olave in the race are Kenneth Walker (+150 odds) and Dameon Pierce (+300). Walker has emerged in the coming weeks as a legitimate threat to win Offensive Rookie of the Year, scoring a touchdown in the past four games and looking like a fierce weapon for the Seahawks. Pierce was up there with Olave roughly a month ago and continues to battle for the title.

The odds have shifted mightily, so it's very possible that Olave gets back into the top spot again. Drake London and Garrett Wilson were both favorites with the oddsmakers last month and now both guys have +2000 odds to be crowned OROTY.

As long as Olave keeps doing what he's doing, he should absolutely be a strong contender to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
