The New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers face off in a tense divisional game made even more exciting by this potential matchup.

Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore hasn't played since suffering a serious injury in Week 5 of the regular season, though he was able to practice on a limited basis last week.

NOLA ruled him out of Week 12's fixture against the San Francisco 49ers, but Lattimore could recover in time to face a long-time divisional foe.

The Saints and the Bucs will square off on Monday in a high-stakes showdown, and the extended week could boost Lattimore's chances of taking the field.

Lattimore's record against Bucs wideout Mike Evans, as most know, has been nearly impeccable.

The last time these two teams met, tensions escalated to the point where Lattimore and Evans both got ejected from the game.

Tampa Bay ended up winning 20-10 in another poor offensive outing by the Saints at the start of the season. This time around, the Saints don't appear to have improved much on offense, but NOLA could still snatch away a win.

Andy Dalton needs to have a pick-free game, and newly anointed WR1 Chris Olave should make a dynamic impact as well. Getting Lattimore back should lead to a huge boost in morale, especially in a Saints' secondary that just hasn't looked like itself in weeks.

NOLA's underwhelming safeties have arguably disappointed the most in 2022, and corners Alontae Taylor and Chris Harris have been inconsistent and have struggled to guard opponents' top wideouts.

For some inexplicable reason, Lattimore just seems to have Evans' number. If the star corner is ready to go for Monday night, Evans might be better off sitting this one out.
