The New Orleans Saints are looking to get their first win streak of the season but it'll have to come against a tough San Francisco 49ers squad that has Super Bowl aspirations.

The 49ers traded for Christian McCaffrey before the deadline and he's helped them emerge as a Super Bowl contender. The Niners currently lead the NFC West with a 6-4 record and they'll be looking to stay ahead of the Seahawks, who also sit at 6-4 on the year.

New Orleans' playoff hopes are slim to none. If they manage to win the garbage NFC South, they'll get in but nobody wants to see this Saints team in the playoffs unless they start performing better on a weekly basis.

Earlier in the week when I discussed the odds for this game, I predicted a 34-24 49ers victory. I actually think they'll win by even more considering how bad New Orleans' defense is against the run, which is something the Niners thrive at. Let's go with a 38-24 49ers victory.

Saints vs. 49ers history

New Orleans is 27-49-2 all-time against the 49ers. Since 2012, the teams have rotated who wins in their matchups and well, with the Saints winning the last matchup by a 27-13 final in 2020, that makes it even more likely that the Niners will win this time around.
