We're all feeling the same way!

Marshon Lattimore is no longer a member of the New Orleans Saints. The team traded him to the Washington Commanders on Tuesday ahead of the deadline, signaling that a rebuild might be on the horizon for the organization.

The Saints sent Lattimore and a fifth-round pick to the Commanders in exchange for a third, fourth, and sixth-round pick in the 2025 draft. This was a decent haul for the Saints, who will now be looking to jumpstart their rebuild in the offseason using these three picks as a helpful guide.

A question that might have popped into Saints fans' heads following the trade was if their favorite team might have to face Lattimore again this year. Well, Khalen Saunders answered that question in the most comical way, taking to X to reveal his thoughts on the trade.

Saunders posted "My God and we gotta play this animal still Lattttttttt NOOOOOOO" while throwing a crying emoji in there as well. Saunders has become quite the comedian on social media and this is another example of how he's making Saints fans laugh despite the rough few weeks.

Unfortunately, the Saints will face Marshon Lattimore this season

What Saunders didn't reveal is when his team will play Lattimore's new team. Not only will the Saints get to play Lattimore again but the game will take place in the Superdome on December 15th when the Commanders come to town for a late regular-season game.

The Commanders have been arguably the most surprising team in the league this year with rookie second overall pick Jayden Daniels paving the way on offense. Saints fans are all too familiar with Daniels as he played his college ball at LSU and won the Heisman Trophy during the 2023 season.

A few months ago, Saints fans probably would have slotted this game in as a win but it looks far from it now. The Commanders, assuming they continue on this trajectory and avoid major injuries, are one of the best teams in the league, while the Saints could arguably be considered the worst team in the NFL, especially after losing to the Panthers.

Trading Lattimore was the right decision but it certainly doesn't make the Saints better. This move is about helping the team more down the road and opening up the door toward rebuilding so that the team hopefully isn't a laughing stock anymore.

Let's hope Lattimore takes it easy on the Saints offense when he comes to town with his new team in mid December.
