After six straight losses, the New Orleans Saints are set to play the team they opened the season against: the Carolina Panthers. In Week 1, New Orleans obliterated Carolina, winning 47-10. Everything was clicking for the Saints and it seemed like the start of a great season.
Unfortunately, New Orleans and the Panthers have been equally abysmal since, both going 1-6 in the last seven weeks. Now they’ll meet in Week 9, and the Saints will try to prove they’re still a significantly better team.
Starting quarterback Derek Carr being back in the lineup should help with that. The veteran QB has been sidelined the last three weeks with an oblique injury, but after returning to practice this week, he’s on pace to start again.
Here are all the other details for Sunday’s game.
