The New Orleans Saints have one final game before they embark on what will be an important offseason for the franchise’s next era. On Sunday, New Orleans will play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a Week 18 matchup, the final week of the regular season.
For the Saints, who are already eliminated from playoff contention, this game is merely a formality. For the Bucs, however, everything is on the line. With a win, Tampa Bay clinches it’s fourth straight NFC South title and heads to the playoffs. With a loss, the Atlanta Falcons would be able to win their way into the postseason.
Clearly, Tampa Bay has more to play for, but the Saints aren’t going to lay down. New Orleans will fight to the end, making the Buccaneers earn their trip to the playoffs.
