The New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings are headed in drastically different directions. Tyler Shough leads the Saints, and Brian Flores' defensive scheme is the headliner for Minnesota. In addition to each team's best side of the ball. the results are the big story.

The Saints are a few plays away from a better record, but they're also a few plays away from having no wins. The Vikings, on the other hand, sit at 4-0. People have their questions about how good they are, but the record is the record.

Even if Minnesota has some things to figure out, being undefeated through four games gives an opportunity to figure things out. The Saints are in a position where the margin for error is slim and the level of patience may be slimmer.

Chris Olave gets his first multi-touchdown game

The Minnesota Vikings might have a mad scientist-like defense, but even so, I expect that Chris Olave will have his first multi-touchdown game of the 2026 season. Despite leading the league in yards per game, the Saints WR1 has only entered the end zone once so far this season and is overdue for a scoring frenzy. Said frenzy will be a continuation of his yardage hot streak, and I expect him to have over 100 of those when the final whistle blows on Sunday afternoon.~ Molly Bauer

Saints finally get a 60 yard runner

The Saints had 50 yards rushing as a team against the Falcons a week ago. This week, they'll pull off something they haven't done all season. They'll have a rusher with 60 yards.

It's not a high bar, but it is for the Saints. Like I said, it hasn't been done through four games, and the rushing attack hasn't shown much life along the way. Travis Etienne had 57 yards before suffering a hamstring injury that'll keep him out for a while.

That leaves Alvin Kamara and Kendre Miller to figure it out. This bold prediction doesn't come from faith but rather necessity. Kelen Moore should realize that one of the best ways to slow down the pass rush is to run the ball.

The amount of attempts hopefully leads to some successful running. They'll need to do it as long as the score permits, because dropping back 40-50 times and asking Shough to take you to the promise land isn't the way to go, especially in this game.~ Darrion Gray

Saints take the top off the Superdome with 2 50+ yard plays

The Saints will have two fifty yard explosive plays on Sunday. The Vikings’ defense is outstanding, but Tyler Shough can exploit their risky play style. Minnesota defensive coordinator Brian Flores blitzes over 67% of the time, according to Sharp Football Analytics, which is over 20% higher than anyone else in the NFL.

As a result, their secondary is thin, with most players near the line of scrimmage. Chris Olave, Bryce Lance, or any other Saints receiver can feast on this and create explosive plays if they beat one defender. This is dependent on the offensive line holding up, which isn’t guaranteed, but the opportunity for game-changing plays is evident.~ Drew Collings
