Things just can't come easy for the New Orleans Saints. It looked like they had things wrapped up after Tyler Shough led a potentially game winning drive, but Cleveland Browns struck fast to push the game into overtime

The Saints' offensive momentum carried over into overtime and put together a seamless opening possession. The running game returned to the level it was on the first possession. Combining that with the poise of Shough allowed the Saints to

Saints simply didn't meet expectations out of the bye week

Bye week wasn't enough to fix the Saints

The Saints had two weeks to prepare for theis game, and it looked like they were on a short week. There should have been a ton of pressure on this game, but the team came out like it was a team with all the security in the world.

They were flat, inefficient then stagnant offensively. The offense didn't find their footing on the ground or in the air until the end of the game. There were moments, but they left a lot of meat on the bone after the game.

The Saints defense held back a Browns offense without their starting quarterback for the majority of the game. Unfortunately, Sanders made his best throw of the day with the game on the line. The poor showing in the last drive of regulation erased any good momentum they had on the day.

Every good offensive play in the first half was followed by a disappointment.

Audric Estime looked like a beast on the first drive, and there was hope that the Saints may get their first opening drive touchdown of the season. The Browns had back to back offsides penalties that gave the Saints a 2nd and 3 before Alvin Kamara responded with a fumble on a mishandled hand off pushed the Saints back. They had to settle for a field goal.

After a Barion Brown caught a bomb, Jordyn Tyson's first catch resulted in a fumble inside the 5-yard line. The Saints also missed a field goal on the drive in between, so they got into scoring role in their first three drives and finished with 3 points.

Carl Granderson and Chase Young strike again

Carl Granderson has put together one of the biggest surprises of the Saints season. On Sunday, he recorded his fourth consecutive multi-sack game. He's been extremely consistent over the last month, and 10 sacks looks like a real possibility.

Prior to the game, Granderson made it clear he didn't like Shedeur Sanders' comments. The edge rusher proved he wasn't just blowing smoke. He brought down Sanders twice and also had a few big pressures.
