There’s a new helmet making its debut in 2022. The New Orleans Saints alternate helmet will be paired with their Color Rush uniform for at least one game this season (which has yet to be determined).

The helmet itself is black, which means it will be the first time since 1969 that New Orleans has rocked a black lid.

Black helmets usually look great – and black is already one of the team colors – so this is no exception. Some have issues with the middle row of fleurs de lis, but we think it’s a unique look no doubt.
