Week 4 vs. Vikings (Oct. 2 — 8:30 AM CST) – London

Four weeks into the season, the Saints will travel to London to face the Vikings, a team who has been a royal pain in their side over the years. We didn’t get to see a Saints-Vikings matchup last year and while it’s a bummer that this one isn’t in the Superdome, maybe that’s a good thing, as the Vikings aren’t fazed when playing there.

While I hate predicting anything positive for the Vikings, this just feels like a game that the Saints will inevitably lose in frustrating fashion. Minnesota has NOLA’s number and they’ll find a way to take them down overseas.

Prediction: Saints lose 28-17 (3-1)

Week 5 vs. Seahawks (Oct. 9 — 12 CST)

Typically, teams get a BYE week after they play in London but that’s not the case here. It’s rare but it does happen and the Saints will have to return home and then face the Seahawks.

Even with the extended travel on a short week, the Seahawks are not going to be very good this year after trading Russell Wilson. If the Saints are going to have to play a game a week after they play in London, facing a lackluster team like the Seahawks is the way to go.

Prediction: Saints win 20-14 (4-1)
