Week 6 vs. Bengals (Oct. 16 — 12 CST)

What was once previously rumored to be a Sunday night game earlier in the season is now slated to simply be a noon kickoff in mid-October. The Bengals surprised the entire NFL world a season ago by making it to the Super Bowl and just about everyone in the state of Louisiana was pulling for them because of the LSU connections (also, screw the Rams).

This game could have made a lot of sense as a primetime game but hey, at least this makes it less appealing for Bengals fans to travel to. This is going to be a really tough game and I’m not sure if the Saints will be able to pull off a victory here.

Prediction: Saints lose 31-21 (4-2)

Week 7 @ Cardinals (Oct. 20 — 7:15 CST) (Thursday Night Football)

Not only do the Saints not get a BYE week following their London game, but then three weeks later, they’re playing on Thursday Night Football in Arizona. Yeesh.

The Cardinals started off hot last season but then faltered down the stretch. That’s been a theme for them since Kyler Murray joined the team in 2019 and it’ll be interesting to see if they start off hot yet again this year and crumble or stay consistently good (or bad).

Either way, I don’t like this game on the schedule. It’s tough for the road team to win on Thursday night and sadly, I see NOLA struggling.

Prediction: Saints lose 28-24 (4-3)
