Where will Jameis Winston sign in free agency?

This one is tricky. On the one hand, Jameis Winston is familiar with the Saints, having now spent two years with the organization and knowing what kind of franchise they are. He appeared to enjoy his time in the Big Easy and that’s why fans are hoping he returns to don the black and gold once again.

On the other hand, Winston is in a much better position than he was at this time last year. He’s coming off an injury, sure, but he’s undoubtedly the best free-agent quarterback on the market, and teams with a desperate need at the most important position in sports will come calling to see if he’d consider signing with them.

I went over some potential landing spots for Winston earlier this week and I’m sticking with who I put at No. 1 on that list. While the Saints are in a bind financially, they’ll find a way to get a deal done with Winston, perhaps offering more than just another one-year deal.

Re-signing Winston needs to be the first thing the Saints do when free agency officially gets underway.

Prediction: Winston signs a 2-year deal with the Saints
