The 2025 offseason will be filled with big decisions for the New Orleans Saints. The first major decision is hiring a head coach. The Saints are already well into a deep coaching search, interviewing several different candidates from various backgrounds. Once the franchise comes to a decision on its head coach, and builds the staff, the team will turn its attention to the roster.
This will transition the organization into the next window of the offseason which is free agency. Among the 19, there are a few big names. The biggest names that Saints fans will be eager to see what happens with are Chase Young, Paulson Adebo, and Juwan Johnson, as well as some of the other veterans like Will Harris, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and some of the linemen on the list.
Typically in free agency, the team has guys it wants to re-sign, and guys the organization is comfortable letting walk. There are also players the team wants to bring back but ultimately lose. This offseason is no different in New Orleans.

The Saints will likely say goodbye to guys like Chase Young, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Willie Gay. All three will surely have interest from other teams, so the cap-challenged Saints won’t be able to keep them around.
New Orleans will likely keep around the depth offensive linemen, as well as cornerback Paulson Adebo. Adebo had made significant strides in recent years, but struggled at times this season before injuring his leg. He’ll likely re-sign with the Saints on a prove-it deal, setting himself up to improve his value again.
