This weekend will see the New Orleans Saints visit the New England Patriots in Foxborough for an NFC South/AFC East showdown. A lot has changed for these two teams since the last time they met but this game is a rather intriguing one.

The Saints have been a tough team to figure out through two weeks, blowing the doors off of Green Bay in Week 1 and then getting the doors blown off of them by the Panthers in Week 2. Experts were squarely against NOLA in Week 1 and sided with them in Week 2 and well — The opposite result ended up happening.

New Orleans is an underdog heading into this one but how do the experts feel about the black and gold this time around?

Saints vs Patriots – Expert Picks

"The Saints looked bad in losing at Carolina and technically are playing a third road game in a row since they played their first home game in Jacksonville. They looked flat in losing to the Panthers last week, and now face a tough challenge on the road against the Patriots. New England’s defense is playing well and will again here against Jameis Winston to get the victory."

  • Gregg Rosenthal (NFL.com)- Saints 16, Patriots 20

"Both offensive lines are coming off games where they were a total mess. Both play-callers seem content to play it safe and avoid mistakes if possible. The Saints’ run defense is well equipped to take away the Patriots’ biggest strength, while the Patriots’ ball-hawking secondary is well equipped to take away Jameis Winston’s confidence."

All three of the outlets included here are going with the Patriots and to be honest, it’s hard to blame them. The Pats are at home and have looked better and more solid in both of their games to this point while the Saints thrived in one and melted down in another.

I won’t be surprised no matter what team wins this weekend and hopefully we’ll have more answers as to what kind of team this Saints group is.
