The New Orleans Saints have been two very different teams two weeks into the 2021 season. Week 1 saw them blow out the Packers, who were one game away from representing the NFC in the Super Bowl last season. Week 2, on the other hand, was an ugly loss to the Panthers, who had a losing record a season ago.

With the two very different games, it’s incredibly hard to get a read on this team but they’ll have to rebound, as they’ve got the Patriots next on their schedule. New England is 1-1 as well but they looked much better in Week 2 than they did in their season opener.

Saints vs Patriots Odds Week 3

The Patriots open as three-point favorites against the Saints, per WynnBET. The underdogs have a moneyline of +120 while the favored Patriots’ moneyline sits at -150. The total number of points is set at 42.5.

Saints vs Patriots Prediction Week 3

As mentioned above, it’s really hard to gauge what kind of Saints team we have here. Now Week 2 was hopefully an anomaly with all of the injured players not on the field and eight coaches missing the game due to COVID protocols.

I don’t think the Saints are as bad as we saw this week and they’re clearly not as good as we saw in Week 1 so being just three-point underdogs feels like good odds for this group. While winning in Foxborough won’t be easy, this team won’t play anywhere close to how they did this past week where everything was stacked against them before the game even kicked off.

Something that could tip the scale in New Orleans’ favor is that Mac Jones is only entering his third NFL game and those rookie mistakes can be critical when they happen.
