The wait is almost over as week one is almost upon us! The New Orleans Saints will take on the Green Bay Packers on Sunday and unfortunately, the game won’t be taking place in New Orleans despite being a home game.

There are many players on both teams to watch out for. Below are the three Saints you should watch out for in Week 1 when the Saints face the Packers.

New Orleans Saints to watch – No. 3: Kaden Elliss

The third-year pro-Kaden Elliss looks to be listed as a starter for the Saints. It was somewhat of a shock as it seemed second-year pro and former third-round pick Zack Baun would lock up that spot.

Elliss received a lot of buzz in training camp and looks to be playing with the first team. Elliss is taking a massive step in playing time as he has zero games started and only has six career tackles. The team is going to need him to perform right away and has no room for mistakes.

With Demario Davis, we know what to expect — An elite linebacker that excels at both run and pass defense. Kwon Alexander is a bit more of a wild card as he’s coming off an ACL injury. However, we have seen Alexander play at a high level, and he has five years of starting experience under his belt. Elliss is someone we haven’t seen play very much at all.

If the team wants to win against a tough Green Bay team, they’re going to need their linebackers in tip-top shape and perfect communication. It will be interesting to see what Elliss does in his starting debut.
