New Orleans Saints to Watch – No. 4: Aldrick Rosas

The Saints have had unfortunate luck at kicker this offseason with the first blow coming in the form of Wil Lutz’s injury. Lutz has been a star as the Saints’ kicker since joining them in 2016 but his injury is going to sideline him for at least the start of the season.

With Lutz unavailable, the Saints signed former Nebraska and Cowboys kicker Brett Maher but he was injured in the preseason opener. This led to Maher being waived and the Saints once again searching for a kicker.

Hopefully, third time is a charm when it comes to kickers and Aldrick Rosas can be the guy until Lutz is able to return. Rosas is most known for his three years spent with the Giants where he was named to his first, and to this point, only Pro Bowl in 2018.

Rosas spent last season with the Jaguars and had a completion percentage of 72.7 and went a perfect 9-for-9 on extra-point attempts. It’ll be his first appearance as the Saints kicker and rightfully, we’ll all be eager to see how he does with his new team.
