New Orleans Saints – Takeaways from Practice

2. Paulson Adebo is popping off the page

One of the stars in training camp, to the delight of fans, has been rookie cornerback Paulson Adebo. A new spotlight was placed on Adebo recently when Patrick Robinson announced a sudden retirement, which means that the rookie out of Stanford will be thrown into a starting role now.

Fortunately, Adebo was trending toward being a starter anyway so it all works out. John Hendrix tweeted that he wishes there was a tracker with almost Adebo picks through camp. This shows that the young corner is making big plays on the ball and hopefully, this carries into the regular season.

Adebo had a knack for finding the football during his time at Stanford, totaling four interceptions in both of his seasons there, giving him a total of eight. He’ll have plenty of opportunities to get after the pigskin when he takes the field for the Saints and if training camp is any indication, he’ll make the most of those opportunities.
