The New Orleans Saints were served another shocking blow, as Patrick Robinson announced he’d be retiring from the league. The blows keep on coming for the Saints and this now explains why the team was reportedly interested in trading for Jaguars cornerback, C.J. Henderson.

We’ll get back to Henderson in a minute but with Robinson’s sudden retirement, the Saints have to find another cornerback. They are in a better situation than they previously were, as they signed Brian Poole, Prince Amukamara, and KeiVarae Russell in the past few weeks.

Poole and Amukamara have been starters in the past, the Saints still have Marshon Lattimore, but he’s probably going to be slapped with a suspension, and Paulson Adebo is a rookie.

Because of the uncertainty at the position, the Saints need to add another cornerback. The league is pass-happy now and the team has to do whatever they can to ensure they’re set up to succeed in their secondary.

We discussed Henderson already, so let’s start with him on our list of cornerbacks to either sign or trade for ahead of the 2021 regular season.
