The New Orleans Saints don’t have a great group of wide receivers on their roster no matter what Tre’Quan Smith thinks. Losing Michael Thomas for who knows how long is a major blow to this offense and the Saints need to add more depth at receiver between now and the start of the season.

By signing Chris Hogan and not seeming interested in signing any big-name receivers, the Saints showed that they feel okay about their main options. Smith, Marquez Callaway, Hogan, and maybe even seventh-round rookie Kawaan Baker are going to get plenty of targets in this offense until Thomas returns.

Before we get to the list, these guys might not seem like much but considering the Saints signed Hogan (and he appears to be impressing in training camp), it’s more likely that one of these guys lands with the team rather than a well-known player.

Let’s take a look at three under-the-radar free-agent wide receivers for the Saints to sign. These guys might not be superstars but they’re what the Saints need right now and they’re not really in a position where they can be picky. So let’s get to the list and see what these guys could provide.
