6 teams that New Orleans Saints should call about a wide receiver trade
New Orleans Saints need to reach out to Denver Broncos
The team that the Saints should be in touch with the most is the Broncos, who have a great group of receivers to work with. Here’s what they’ve got on the roster:
- Courtland Sutton
- Jerry Jeudy
- K.J. Hamler
- Tim Patrick
- Seth Williams
The only name I’m going to discuss out of this bunch is Tim Patrick, who I’ve already discussed as a potential trade candidate for New Orleans. Patrick isn’t a superstar but he stepped up mightily for the Broncos last year when their receivers were stricken with injuries and played incredibly well. He finished the season with 51 receptions for 742 yards and six touchdowns in 15 starts.
The good thing about Patrick is that he’s affordable and the Broncos really don’t need him, as they have four other big names at the position. Patrick is in the final year of his rookie contract and it makes perfect sense for him to be on the trade block.
If the Broncos answer the phone and are willing to listen about a trade, the Saints need to ask what it’ll take to land Patrick because he’d be a great fit for this offense.
The time is now for the Saints to make a big trade for a wide receiver and these six teams have plenty of receivers on their rosters. That’s why they need to be the first teams New Orleans calls about a potential trade.
