Saints potential trade-up team: Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins have picks 6, 18, 36, and 50.

Miami needs those picks to enhance their pool of talent, but at the same time, they have several holes and could use additional picks. They’ve also shown a desire to engage in trades. The Saints moving up 10 picks isn’t the craziest thing.

With quarterback Tua Tagovailoa solely captaining the team entering his second season in the league, the Dolphins will want to surround him with talent. Getting another third-round pick to go along with No. 28 would be ideal.

With that sixth-overall pick, it’s understandable that the Dolphins will get their most-needed player there. Given their plethora of picks, it would make sense that the price tag on 18 wouldn’t be the same as a franchise that only has one pick in the first round.

The Saints may want to trade up for a talent like Caleb Farley, and it does seem like the Virginia Tech standout could easily go in the top 20. Miami at 18 would make an ideal trade partner for the Saints.
