Over the last few seasons, the New Orleans Saints have made a habit of trading up. They did it late in last season’s draft.

The most notable trade-up in recent history for New Orleans was moving up to No. 14 to draft Marcus Davenport. While that hasn’t quite worked out in their favor yet, the Saints will likely continue that aggressive trend.

The New Orleans Saints have the No. 28 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, but there’s no denying they could have plans to trade up a few picks.

Over the last few seasons, there have been a couple of teams that have just been stacking up picks. The Miami Dolphins, who will be a playoff-contending team this coming season, are one of them.

There are also teams with far more weaknesses than the Saints. Thinking that New Orleans could trade one of their third-round picks to select a few positions higher sounds ideal both parties, especially given that New Orleans only has a handful of holes to fill.

The Saints have holes, but at linebacker and receiver, they could be filled by young, up-and-coming players. That said, let’s dive into three potential suitors that could pick up the phone if New Orleans wants to trade up.
