Marcus Williams

When thinking of Marcus Williams, many analysts and fans immediately remember the Minnesota Miracle from 2018.

Williams, a rookie at the time, made a mistake that’ll last career, but if that’s all one remembers, they’ll miss what could be one of the best safeties the Saints have ever known. While he’s got a long time till he reaches that argument, Williams is set for a stellar season.

Switching out Vonn Bell for Malcolm Jenkins as his fellow safety, Williams, who had four interceptions and recorded his first career touchdown last season, is set to dominate the secondary.

Recently rated one of the top 25 players under-25, Williams isn’t too oftentimes considered one of the best young studs in the game, but his instincts and hard-hitting abilities say differently.

Expect him to help captain what should be a vastly improved Saints defense in 2020.

Smith, Hill and Williams all have the tools and opportunity to make themselves household names in 2020. All they need to do now is show up and make it happen. I expect they will this coming season.
