Darqueze Dennard

Darqueze Dennard is a 5-foot-11, 200-pound cornerback who has spent his entire career with the Cincinnati Bengals until this offseason. Dennard, 28, is a very talented cornerback who was thrust into the whirlwind of the Bengals organization and simply never reached his full potential.

Dennard has all the traits to be a great number three or four cornerback.

Dennard is a physical cornerback who doesn’t shy away from contact and is a very good tackler. According to Pro Football Reference, he had a lower missed tackle rate than Marshon Lattimore last season.

The former first-round pick has logged 274 tackles, five tackles for a loss, three sacks, three forced fumbles, 22 passes defended, three interceptions, and one defensive touchdown in his 77 career games.

The Michigan State alum allowed just a 48.6 completion percentage to balls thrown his way in 2019, and I’m confident that if Dennis Allen can make Eli Apple somewhat productive, then he can really tap into the potential of Darqueze Dennard.
