Number Two: Andy Dalton

Andy Dalton is a 6-foot-2, 220-pound quarterback who currently plays for the Cincinnati Bengals. Dalton, 32, has been the Bengals signal-caller since 2011 when he was drafted in the second round out of TCU.

With the Bengals currently owning the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the team is likely to depart from their long-time QB.

Dalton, a three-time Pro Bowler, is actually not a bad quarterback — he was in a bad situation on a severely-injured team last season.

More from Who Dat Dish

Dalton plays really well on a good roster.

In the four years the Bengals made the playoffs, Dalton completed 62 percent of his passes, tossed 14,758 yards, scored a total of 111 touchdowns, and threw 66 interceptions. Dalton plays significantly better on a playoff-caliber team.

Imagine how well he would play on a team that has several multiple Pro Bowl-caliber players and led by a good head coach.

Dalton in his career has completed 62 percent of his passes, tossed of 31,500 yards, 204 touchdown passes, and 118 interceptions.

He also has 20 fourth-quarter comebacks and 24 career game-winning drives. Andy Dalton can also run the ball a little bit, carrying it 394 times in his career for 1,221 yards and 22 touchdowns.

Andy Dalton would be the perfect quarterback to replace Drew Brees and could truly compete with Taysom Hill for the starting job after his departure. The Saints may be able to work out a cheaper deal for Dalton and should attempt to do so.
