The issue at hand

The New Orleans Saints also have four linebackers hitting the free-agent market in 2021.

Demario Davis, Kiko Alonso, Craig Robertson, and Alex Anzalone are all set to become free agents.

Davis and Anzalone need to be priorities, but in a free-agent class that consists of guys like Ryan Ramczyk, Marshon Lattimore, and Marcus Williams, keeping just one of those studs would still prove to be pricy.

Demario Davis is coming off an AP All-Pro First Team selection and has been a leader on and off the field for the New Orleans Saints.

Anzalone missed 14 games in 2019 and has been placed on injured reserve twice in his career and had battled injuries since his college days, so his days as a high-paid linebacker could be all but over.

Robertson is also a great special teams/backup linebacker, and he would likely give a hometown discount to stay in New Orleans. Kiko Alonso is coming off another torn ACL and could ultimately end up being cut to create some cap space.

The need for linebackers is becoming more and more obvious.
