Options in the draft

Two players the New Orleans Saints should consider drafting in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft are LSU’s Patrick Queen and Oklahoma’s Kenneth Murray.

Both linebackers are physical freaks and have excellent speed and athleticism to cover the length of the field.

Queen totaled 131 tackles, 17.5 tackles for a loss, four sacks, and one interception over his three-year career at LSU. His six-foot-one, 227-pound frame would fit well in the Saints swarming defense.

Murray is a dominant linebacker who is always around the ball, just like Demario Davis. Murray totaled 325 tackles, 36.5 tackles for a loss, 9.5 sacks, and six passes defended in his three-year career at Oklahoma.

His tackle point is a little high, but I’m sure with an entire offseason with the Saints he’d quickly get that corrected. Missed tackles were a problem last season as well, potentially allowing him to slip in the draft a bit.

Drafting one of these two stars in the first round could correct that problem for cheap.
