The New Orleans Saints are well represented among the four national title contenders — except for Oklahoma.

That means that for the days of the semifinals and finals, the Saints’ allegiances will be divided between their respective alma maters. Which alma mater will come out on top and what college is your favorite New Orleans Saint rooting for this holiday season?

Clemson University

Linebacker Stephone Anthony and defensive bac  T.J. Green both represent the orange and purple of the Clemson University Tigers.

Clemson University is the No. 3 ranked school in the nation, they are set to take on the No. 2 ranked Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl. Anthony and Green will have an all-out battle as Ohio State is the most represented school on the New Orleans Saints.

For one of the last days of the year, Anthony and Green will put back on the purple and orange in spirit.

Louisiana State University

Center and guard, Will Clapp is the only player represent among the LSU faithful.

He was selected in the 2018 NFL draft in the 7th round. He represents the other Tigers in the playoffs, this one from LSU. The Tigers are the No. 1 ranked team in the nation and have undisputed Heisman favorite, quarterback Joe Burrow.

The team from LSU will be matched up against the No. 4 ranked Oklahoma Sooners. Unfortunately, the Sooners are not represented in the Saints’ roster. Therefore, Clapp will not be at odds with any teammates until the CFP Championship.

Ohio State University

The Ohio State Buckeyes are the most represented team among the New Orleans Saints. Cornerback, Eli Apple; safety, Vonn Bell; wide receiver, Ted Ginn, Jr.; cornerback, Marshon Lattimore; and star wide receiver, Michael Thomas all boast the scarlet and grey from Ohio.

In a controversial decision, Ohio State was ranked No. 2 and will play the Clemson Tigers in the semifinals.
