The New Orleans Saints have been shook by retirements this offseason. It all started with Derek Carr. It was an impactful decision, and many fans rejoiced upon hearing that news. Tyrann Mathieu's sudden retirement Tuesday morning garnered the opposite reaction. It has you looking at Saints veterans, like Cameron Jordan, wondering if they're next.

Jordan has been in the league since 2011, and retirement has been the conversation floating around him for a few years at this point. It does feel like it's around the corner, but the defensive end isn't hearing any of that.

Jordan was naturally asked about Mathieu's decision after the first day of training camp. He told the media flat out, "I'm not going to so quit asking." Just kidding. That was Nick Saban, but Jordan might as well have said that as he slammed the door on retirement.

Cameron Jordan won't be joining Tyrann Mathieu in retirement any time soon

When asked if the recent retirements of Mathieu and young tight end Dallin Holker makes Jordan think about his own retirement, Jordan quickly said, "hell no" leaving no room for misinterpretation.

Jordan made it clear that he respects their decision to step away, but he's in a much different place in life. "I don’t know what that had to do with me. I say more power to them. Congrats to them. I still have people I want to hit. Until this gets out of my blood, I can’t go home for this energy," Jordan told the media.

The question did lead to Jordan reflecting on Patrick Robinson retiring in the midst of training camp. The story served as an example that the decision could happen at any time... for others. Though understanding the decision can be unplanned, Jordan says, "right now, i couldn’t imagine me not waking up to head towards football."

Jordan only sees two choices in this game: peace or violence. "Sometimes you choose violence, and sometimes you choose peace. Me, imma bring my hands to work and choose violence everyday." Get ready for another year of the Saints legend in the black and gold as he continues to choose violence.
