Well, that was a tough pill to swallow. In what was an ugly game that is only outdone by their game versus the Seattle Seahawks, the New Orleans Saints fell to the Chicago Bears 14-26. The one bright spot was Chris Olave.

It was an ugly one. One where the Saints were just a drive away from heading into the half with a goose egg on the scoreboard. However, the Bears also struggled to get points, except during the second quarter for some reason, making it not a total failure.

In the moments where the Saints showed life, it was Olave making plays. The two touchdowns New Orleans scored were Olave receptions. The first scoring drive, specifically saw Olave as the heartbeat of the offense. He caught a deep shot to put them in scoring position then scored two plays later.

Despite the loss, Saints WR Chris Olave had his best game yet

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave followed up last week's season-best performance with one of the best games of his career, gathering his first multi-touchdown game. This is also after he had some uncharacteristic drops last week against New England. On the day, he caught 71% of his passes, up 11% from last week for the same amount of receiving yards and two additional touchdowns.

His head coach, Kellen Moore, sure seemed happy with how the WR played on Sunday. "Chris played some really big-time football today. He made some big-time plays down the field, and he played in some contested catch situations. I was really proud of the way he played." Moore said to the media postgame. "...maybe he had a couple of drops last week, but he responded really well. I thought his focus and his attention to detail was really good today."

Olave's quarterback, Spencer Rattler, also gave him some kudos following the loss. "Those two, three big plays he had today were huge parts of the game, and he stepped up and made some great contested catches," Rattler said to the media. "I know there were a lot of talkers about him last week, and he just showed that he's still Chris; he's still a dog."
