Spencer Rattler finally got the monkey off his back. After losing his first 10 starts, the New Orleans Saints quarterback is in the win column for the first time. After all the chatter about Rattler's development, he finally has a win to go with it.

Following the game, Rattler said that it felt good to get that first win while also giving his teammates some kudos. "It was a team win. The defense played great, the O-line played elite today, and I believe we had zero sacks vs. that front." Rattler said to the media. "This is a great building point. We gotta catch that momentum, go on a run, and keep working, keep progressing, and keep doing what we're doing."

Head coach Kellen Moore, who also got his first win as a head coach, said that he was really happy for Rattler. "I thought he did a lot of good. He has battled through a lot certainly through a year and a half of football here. I thought he's played a lot of good football this year, here for us. He has competed each and every week. We have been really close, but we have not gotten there collectively," he said postgame. "For him to get this one, he's earned it."

With the win, Saints QB Spencer Rattler is in the company of two Hall of Famers

Rattler is no longer in the same boat as other former NFL QBs like DeShone Kizer and Zach Mettenberger, neither of whom won a regular season game in their careers. Now, he has much better company in two Hall of Fame QBs: Troy Aikman and Warren Moon.

Both of those quarterbacks, just like Rattler, also lost their first ten starts. In fact, out of the group, it's Troy Aikman that took longest to get his first career win, losing his first 11 starts. However he obviously got his bearings, as he helped the Dallas Cowboys win three super bowl titles.

Will Rattler have a career like the one of the Super Bowl 27 MVP or the nine-time probowler? It's way to early to tell. But the fact of the matter is that on paper, he has had a similar start compared to the two iconic QBs.
