Saints' Week 4 score prediction: Falcons shut down in Domecoming 20th anniversary

The New Orleans Saints have lost the last two games to the Atlanta Falcons, and it’s been nearly a decade since the Falcons have rattled off a three game winning streak in this series. That’s been regular for the Saints in recent memory. After being swept last year, Kellen Moore and Tyler Shough are attempting to right that wrong in the first matchup of the year.

It’s still weird to believe, but Michael Penix Jr is going into his first game of the rivalry. The Saints hope to give him the same welcome that Shough received.

Our staff at Who Dat Dish believes that's exactly what's on the way. Saints cap off Hate Week with a Saints victory.

Clean sweep for the Saints in our Week 4 predictions

Tyler Shough leads a game winning drive on primetime

This could have been in our bold prediction article, but instead, Shough leading the Saints on a game winning drive against the Falcons represents how close this game will be.

Airing it out is going to be paramount to the Saints coming out of this matchup with a victory, and that'll be true until the final whistle, literally. This will also be a welcome to the national lens moment for Shough. He played the majority of his rookie season against teams national eyes couldn't care less about, and the two big games against the Lions and Ravens weren't on national TV.

Those games got the buzz going, and now Shough has to deliver with all the eyes on him. He was a great clutch time quarterback in the first two games, and he'll recapture that magic against the Falcons en route to his first victory over Atlanta.

Saints win 24-17~ Darrion Gray

Saints blowout the Falcons

This is more than a game. The Saints will come out of the tunnel fired up, fueled by a passionate fanbase on the 20th anniversary of the return to the Superdome. Because of this, I’m picking them 35-10 in a primetime blowout over the Falcons.

Beyond this, the Saints have a deeper, more well-rounded roster than Atlanta. I don’t trust their pass defense and believe that Tyler Shough will have a career showing. Additionally, Michael Penix is still an unproven quarterback, granted he was impressive last week, but Brandon Staley’s defense will shut him down.~ Drew Collings

Saints can't lose this game

I don’t think there’s any way the New Orleans Saints lose this game. When they take the field this evening, the offense and defense will be working in synchronicity.

Not only because it’s the 20th anniversary of the Domecoming, New Orleans would be able to win this game without that, but because bouncing back has been the name of the game for the team under Kellen Moore this season. Most evident by the difference between week one’s and two’s performances of this year, this Saints team tends to bite back.

When the final whistle blows, I bet it’ll be Saints 27, Falcons 14.~ Molly Bauer
